The Idaho Heritage Series is a collection of limited release, time-honored wines made with our long lineage of Idaho ancestors in mind. Born in 1926, Marguerite is our wine maker’s grandmother.
Dubbed “The Office Angel” by the Gooding Leader newspaper, she was a hard-working woman who never met a stranger. Upon her “damned sailor’s” return from the war, she promptly accepted the title of “Cow-Milker” & “Ranch Hand.” She settled into a long life with her love in Hailey, Idaho where they became one of the most well-respected couples in ranching.
This release is layered with herbaceous notes and black fruit, followed up by memories of leather. Flavors of wild cherry and dried fruit socialize with a hint of tobacco. It pairs well with red meats, tomato-based dishes or a glass after a long day’s work.
